Therapeutic Riding Lessons & Ground Work
At Brady, youth and children as young as four build confidence, connection, and new skills through meaningful partnerships with horses. We offer adaptive riding lessons, horsemanship instruction, and ground work activities for participants with physical, emotional, developmental, and social-emotional challenges.
Every lesson is tailored to the participant's individual strengths, goals, and needs.
Whether riding, grooming, leading a horse, or learning from the ground, participants develop confidence, communication skills, resilience, and trust while forming meaningful relationships with our horses, staff, volunteers, and peers. Families also become part of a supportive community and enjoy much-needed moments of connection and respite.
How Horses Help
The movement of a horse can improve balance, coordination, posture, muscle control, and body awareness. Time spent with horses also encourages focus, communication, emotional regulation, and social growth. Many families are amazed by the progress they see—not only in the arena, but at home and in everyday life.
