First Equine-Assisted Therapy in a Zoo Environment

Since 2019, the San Francisco Zoo & Gardens has been home to Brady’s herd and programs. Since moving onto Zoo grounds, Brady has expanded its program from one day to seven days per week, year-round, allowing us to widen community access to the healing power of horses. Brady is the first equine-assisted therapy program in an Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) accredited facility. Together, we are building a scalable model for other zoo/therapy program partnerships to follow.

Brady’s outreach into our San Francisco community has grown and thrived from the love and support we receieve from our Partners. We are thankful everyday for them!
