Equine-Guided Mindfulness & Meditation (EGMM)
At Brady, we use Equine-Guided Mindfulness & Meditation (EGMM) to help participants focus on the present moment, build self-awareness, and strengthen emotional resilience. Research shows that mindfulness practices can improve attention, behavior, emotional regulation, and overall well-being.
Horses and ponies are especially effective partners in this work. As highly social herd animals, they are naturally present, observant, and responsive to human emotions. Their calm, non-judgmental presence helps participants feel grounded, safe, and connected.
Through guided mindfulness activities and hands-on interaction with our horses and ponies, participants develop confidence, communication skills, emotional awareness, and healthy relationship habits.
Because no riding is required, EGMM is accessible to people of all ages, abilities, and experience levels. Whether serving children with disabilities, systems-impacted youth, volunteers, or community members, these practices help participants navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and resilience.
We plan to expand EGMM in the future through community workshops and corporate team-building experiences.
