NEURODIVERSITY CELEBRATION WEEK: March 17 – 23

The San Francisco Zoo & Gardens is celebrating Neurodiversity Celebration Week with special accommodations designed to make the zoo experience more comfortable and welcoming for visitors with sensory sensitivities or different social needs. Offerings will include a downloadable sensory guide, a complimentary ‘sensory sachet’ (headphones, communication cards, and fidgets), and attractions such as the Dentzel Carousel running in “quiet mode.”

NEURODIVERSITY CELEBRATION DAY: Saturday, March 21

On Saturday, March 21st, Brady will host special horse chats and meet-and-greets for zoo guests at our new public-facing gate across from Ben the camel’s enclosure. 

Times: 11am, 1pm, and 3pm

Stop by to:

🐴 Meet the Brady team and learn about our horses
🎨 Pick up a complimentary Brady Year of the Horse Coloring Book and stickers (while supplies last)
💬 Ask questions about therapeutic riding and equine-assisted programs

You can also find us at the community information tables in the Madagascar area 11am–3pm.

The zoo will offer an early admission quiet hour (9–10am) for members of the neurodivergent community.

Brady at The Exploratorium's Spring Festival

What could be more San Francisco than Chinese New Year, the Exploratorium, and Brady? We’re honored to be included in the Exploratorium’s celebration of the Year of the Horse at not 1, but 2(!!) events next week. Please join the Brady team at this once-in-12-years celebration, and wear your Brady swag with pride!

Spring Festival – Saturday, February 21, 11am - 4pm

Join us for a day of activities and crafts for the whole family. Hear real-life stories of rescue-to-hero horses. Make your own lion dance puppets, and discover the foundations of Chinese dance. Immerse yourself in traditions old and new, and maybe even create a few of your own.

The Brady team will be sharing the therapeutic power of horses with families in Gallery 4.

After Dark: New Moon, New Year – Thursday, February 19, 6 - 10pm

Join us for an unforgettable celebration of the Year of the Horse! Embrace your inner Fire Horse energy, get competitive at the mahjong table, and dive into multicultural Lunar New Year traditions. This is an adults-only event. 

Sarah and Tora will be presenting “Fire Horse: Culture, Connection, and Healing” in the Fisher Bay Observatory Gallery at 7pm.
